Rx Optical was founded in Downtown Kalamazoo in April 1947. We have grown to become the largest Michigan based optical company with 43 Michigan and 4 Indiana offices. We will continue to make your glasses one pair at a time and offer you a customized experience as we have done for our patients for over sixty years.

Every pair of glasses that we make passes through the trained hands of our experienced lab technicians and meets or exceeds FDA conformance standards certified by COLTS Laboratories. Each technician can reject a job at any of our quality control steps that every pair passes through. Our lenses are manufactured in the United States and customized for each patient at our world-class lab in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Rx Optical opticians complete many levels of training in order to achieve certification with the American Board of Opticianry. Rx Optical invests in our people to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of care. Continuing education programs for our doctors and opticians make our people the best in the industry.

Our doctors are dedicated to preserving your vision and take time with every patient to provide a thorough inter-ocular examination testing for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, tumors and evaluation for diabetes, high blood pressure or other health related diseases.
