Since the very beginning, Rx Optical has called Michigan home. After our first office went up in Kalamazoo in 1947, we’ve grown at a calculated and measured pace, making sure we are continuing to meet the needs of our current patients.
This dedication to Michigan, its residents, our employees and our patients is what sets us apart from the rest.
Michigan isn’t just a name in our address. You can find evidence of our Michigan roots by simply looking around our offices. We use Herman Miller office solutions in addition of office seating. And our entire 26,000 square foot new corporate headquarters is furnished with Herman Miller office solutions. We also feature tables and fixtures custom-designed and fabricated by an artisan wood shop in West Michigan. We believe that supporting the communities in which we do business and making them a part of our lives is the right thing to do.
In addition to buying local, we produce locally. Our glasses aren’t made in a factory somewhere; they’re made by Dave. Dave works with other local professionals in our sophisticated, state-of-the-art lab located right here in Michigan. So, when you order a prescription, your glasses get the personal attention they deserve. Local production means fast turnaround, a controlled process, accountability, and personalization.
Here, you have a name, a face, and a story.
We have been betting on Michigan for over 70 years, and we won’t stop now. The traits of the Great Lakes state run deep at Rx Optical – resilient, industrious, supportive. It’s made us who we are today which is why we choose to give back. We love every community we choose to make a home in and choose to support organizations that promote many different causes including fitness for kids and, of course, vision care for those that don’t have access.
With over 50 locations throughout the state, we’re not hard to find. So, the next time you need eye care professionals who will see your whole face, hear your voice and see you as a person and community member rather than just a number, turn your sights to Rx Optical.
